“I will help preserve the history and honor the “Sisu” of the original settlers by selecting one or more of the following six opportunities for membership and program support.”
Much of the development fund money is generated by fundraising and most of the labor required is provided by volunteers. And, more of both money and labor is needed and greatly appreciated! If you like what we’re doing, you can help! Our Society depends upon the generous contributions of our members, and charitable donations of any interested party.

Or donate to one of the following:
Special Projects Fund: Completed special projects include a split rail fence, hand water pump, and a functioning outhouse. Future SPF income will be used to purchase the non-labor needs of a root cellar, trapper’s shack, blacksmith shop, homestead entrance, and a dovetail barn. Donations to SPF are normally used as support for matching funds requests submitted to foundations and businesses.
Support for the Heritage Museum: Donations received will be used to support the Museum including acquiring and upkeep of displays and archives.
Park Hill School Fund: Your donation will help to renovate and equip the school house. We have wonderful plans for the school including a tall wood burning stove, authentic desks, photos, teacher tributes, samples of children’s work, and more.
Memorial Fund: Donations may be made to memorialize those other than an early pioneer family.
Timber Frame Pavilion Fund: Donations will be used to build a beautiful new pavilion for community use which will give us a permanent structure for our Annual Tori Festival. The timber frame pavilion will be 100x40ft and will triple the covered audience space of the current tent used at the Tori.
